The Power of HOPE

End It For Good’s Jane Clair Tyner was at a conference representing End It for Good, with copies of Curious: A Foster Mom’s Discovery of an Unexpected Solution to Drugs and Addiction

If you don’t know Jane Clair, the End It For Good podcast episode where she shares her story is incredible.

On the second day of the conference, an attendee came by the table during a lull in the crowd and shared her story with Jane Clair. She’s a mother walking with her daughter through an incredibly painful addiction journey.

She had gotten a copy of Curious the day before and told Jane Clair:

“I opened it and started reading, and it was just what I needed. I’ve had so much shame about my daughter’s addiction I’ve just hidden it. I don’t need to feel shame about it anymore. I need to love my daughter, and the best way I can do that is to accept she needs help.

Another attendee told Jane Clair through tears that she had only been sober for a month. “It’s been a real struggle. I think God brought me here today…It’s good to know there are strangers out there who care about me and don’t think I’m a terrible person because I’m an addict.”

It may come as a surprise that Jane Clair wasn’t at an addiction conference. She was at a lifestyle conference not related to addiction or mental health.

All around us, people are hurting – often alone – as they walk through an addiction themselves or with a loved one who’s struggling.

You can offer them hope today.
