Jackson, Miss. (September 1, 2026) – Families across Mississippi affected by opioid use disorder will soon have access to practical skills, peer connection, and resources through a new statewide program from End It For Good.

The Mississippi-founded nonprofit is launching a program for families affected by opioid addiction that combines evidence-informed skills training with facilitated peer support groups. The program will equip parents and other loved ones with practical tools for navigating addiction, strengthening family relationships, and protecting their own well-being.

End It For Good expects to serve 200 families during the program’s first year, reaching more than 600 people through direct participation and its impact on family members. The program will be available statewide through online training, virtual support groups, and in-person groups.

For families affected by addiction, finding practical resources and people who understand their experience can be difficult. End It For Good has connected with loved ones of people with opioid use disorder who have traveled long distances seeking resources and connection with others facing similar challenges.

“Families should not have to figure this out alone,” said Michelle Grawe, Director of Family Support Services at End It For Good. “When someone you love is struggling with addiction, it can be hard to know what to say or how to help. We want to give families practical skills, a place to connect with others, and the tools they need to move forward.”

The program draws on evidence-informed approaches including motivational interviewing and Community Reinforcement and Family Training (CRAFT), which focus on strengthening communication and family relationships.
